Miss Universe 2018 pageant will be held in Thailand, announced at a press conference held in Bangkok, attended by the president of the Miss Universe Organization Paula Shugart and the current titleholder Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa last Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
Miss Universe 2018 will be scheduled on December 17 (Manila Time) at the Muang Thong Thani Complex in Nonthaburi, Bangkok, Thailand. This will be the third time for Thailand to be the host country of the said pageant – first on 1992 and second on 2005, having Michelle McLean from Namibia and Natalie Glebova of Canada won the title in the said years respectively.
Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha stated, “It’s a good thing that their officials see Thailand’s potential. If we can organize it and there are no problems with various agreements, then the government is happy to support it.”
Philippine bet, Catriona Gray, will compete to have our country’s fourth Miss Universe crown.
