The world was filled with grief after a suicide bomber planted an explosive device during Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester in May last year. The incident left 22 people dead and 59 injured.
But just recently, a video of Grande’s fiancé Pete Davidson joking about the terror attack has resurfaced. The SNL actor and stand-up comedian joked about how the pop star must know how famous she has become because “Britney Spears didn’t have a terrorist attack at her concert.”
Now, Davidson is facing much criticism for his said gag last fall. Charlotte Hodgson, the mother of fifteen-year-old Olivia Campbell-Hardy who was one of the victims of the terrible incident, told the Mirror that he should “publicly apologize” for his “disgusting” joke.
“For anyone to joke about this situation is disgusting and I think he should publicly apologize for it. The families will find it equally as disgusting. We don’t need joke about it, there have been plenty around, and it’s heartbreaking to hear everyday. But for someone so famous to be doing it and now to be with Ariana, it’s outrageous. I think she would be horrified too.”
If that’s not sickening enough for you, Grande has revealed that she now suffers from PTSD because of the attack.
